“CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL DROPS” IS IN:

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL
DROPS
 
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
3 tbsp. coco
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ cup smooth peanut butter
2 cups oats (not quick oats)

Prepare 1-2 sheets of wax or parchment paper on a table or counter before beginning.

Place, sugar, milk, butter and cocoa in a heavy sauce pan. Stir continuously on medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Once boiling, cook for exactly 90 seconds. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, oats, and vanilla. Stir mixture until well combined.

Quickly drop onto wax or parchment paper on a flat surface. Mixture will set up quickly.

Yield: About 2 Dozen Cookies

Cookies are very smooth and creamy. This is the best variation of this recipe I have found.

I have eaten these every Christmas since the 1970’S when my mother made them.

This is in memory of the First Southern Baptist Church of Eloy, Arizona and all the great people and friends back in the 70’s.
