BAKED BEANS
2 cans Heinz Boston Style Beans in molasses sauce w/pork (remove fat)
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/2 c. light brown sugar (less if desired)
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper
1/2 c. chili sauce (more if desired)
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced & separated
1 lg. green pepper, thinly sliced
3 or 4 strips bacon, cut into sm. squares

Bake slowly at 250 degrees for 2 hours.

I use Grandma's Molasses instead of the brown sugar; and I couldn't tell you how much, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 cup. I also use a little more mustard and Worcestershire sauce than the recipe calls for, as I find that most people like them pretty spicy. I put some of the bacon squares in the bottom of the bean pot (cover bottom) before putting in the beans. Put rest of bacon on top of beans. Tomato catsup may be used instead of chili sauce.
