STRAWBERRY TORTE 
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
10 soda cracker squares
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 qt. whole unsweetened strawberries
Cool Whip

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat egg whites with baking powder until frothy. Add sugar slowly to mix until stiff. Fold in crumbled cracker squares and pecans. Spread in a buttered 9-inch pie plate. Bake 30 minutes. Cool and fill with whole berries and top with Cool Whip. Cover completely. Chill several hours. 8 servings.
