VIDALIA SWEET ONION CASSEROLE 
CRUST:

1 pkg. saltine crackers or Ritz crackers
1 stick butter

Crumble crackers and place in bottom of casserole dish. Melt 1 stick butter and pour over crackers.

FILLING:

6 to 8 med. Vidalia onions

Saute onions in 1/2 stick butter. Add garlic salt to season. Grate a 12 oz. block of Cheddar cheese and sprinkle over onions. Beat up 2 eggs and 1 large can of evaporated milk and pour over cheese. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until bubbly.
