VIDALIA ONION RINGS 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
Vidalia onions

Mix dry ingredients, then add milk until mixture is soupy enough to run off a spoon. Cut Vidalia onions in 1/2 inch slices. Punch out into rings. Dip into batter and fry in grease at 375 degrees until golden brown. Drain on paper sack or paper towels. Salt to taste.
