LAZY CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
3 to 4 c. cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1 med. onion, chopped
6 tbsp. regular rice, not instant
1 c. water
1 can tomato soup or 1 c. tomato juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat, skim off fat, add water, onion and rice. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add soup or juice, salt and pepper. Pour over cabbage that has been placed in a 2 quart greased casserole dish. Do not mix together. Bake at 325 degrees, uncovered, for 2 hours. This can also be made on top of stove if you are in a hurry, but will have to be stirred occasionally.
