CRANBERRY NUT BREAD | |
3/4 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 1/4 c. orange juice 1 tbsp. grated orange rind 3 c. Bisquick 3/4 c. chopped nuts 1 c. chopped cranberries (if frozen, don't thaw) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, egg, orange juice, rind and Bisquick. Beat hard 30 strokes. Stir in nuts and cranberries. Pour into greased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inches. Bake 55-60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Batter may be put into 3 greased #2 cans and bake 50 minutes. Fill a little over half, or 2/3 full. Cool slightly then remove from pan(s) and cool on wire rack. This freezes well for later use. |
