THICK BUTTER COOKIES 
2 c. unsifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tbsp. sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut butter into flour mixture with pastry blender until crumbs are fine. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and sour cream; mix well.

Mold into balls a little over 1 inch in diameter and place on ungreased baking sheet, about 3 inches apart. Press flat with tines of a floured fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a light golden brown. Makes 2 dozen.
