MARINATED BRISKET 
4 or 5 lb. brisket
1 can consomme
1 sm. bottle soy sauce
1/4 c. lemon juice
Garlic to taste
1 tbsp. liquid smoke

Combine ingredients. Pour over meat and marinate overnight. Bake covered in liquid 5 hours for 5 lbs., 4 hours for 4 lbs. at 300 degrees. Baste occasionally. Uncover last half hour and pour 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over and increase temperature to 350 degrees.
