MARASCHINO CHERRY BARS 
9 x 9 INCH PAN:

1/2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. butter, melted
1/8 tsp. salt

DOUBLE: (10 x 15 INCH PAN):

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter, melted
2 c. rolled oats

TOPPING:

1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. Maraschino cherries, chopped
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

DOUBLE: (FOR TOPPING):

1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. Maraschino cherries, chopped
1 c. coconut
1 c. nuts, chopped

Mix flour, soda and salt; add brown sugar, oats and butter; mix well and press firmly into ungreased 9 x 9 inch square pan. Spread topping on base and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut in bars.
