CRANBERRY - ORANGE BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
Grated rind & juice of 1 orange plus water to make 3/4 c.
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in halves
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan, or 3 small loaf pans.

Measure flour, blend dry ingredients. Mix in shortening, orange rind, juice and egg. Fold in cranberries. Pour into pan or pans. Bake large loaf pan 1 hour, three small pans, approximately 45-50 minutes. Cool thoroughly before slicing with a thin, sharp knife.
