EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 1/2 cups cake flour, sifted 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup cocoa Add: 2 eggs (room temperature) 1/3 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch pan with non-stick spray and dust lightly with flour or cocoa; tap out excess. Combine ingredients in order listed. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes and frost as desired. Tips: 1. Measure dry ingredients first. The same measuring cups can then be used for the remaining ingredients. Sift flour onto wax paper for easy addition to the mixing bowl.When measuring ingredients, measure out 1 portion of the dry ingredients into individual plastic bags. Attach a printout of this recipe to each bag and store on shelf. Next time you want to make a cake, just add the remaining ingredients. As easy as a cake mix! 2. To save on dishes, measure dry ingredients first. The same measuring cups may then be used for the remaining ingredients. Sift flour onto wax paper for easy addition to the mixing bowl. |
