CREAM OF PEA SOUP 
12 oz. pkg. frozen peas
2 c. water
Milk or cream
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped ham for garnish

Put peas and onion in 2 cups of water in a saucepan; cook for 15 minutes or until soft. Cool slightly. Puree vegetables and water in blender. Measure, adding enough milk or cream to make 4 cups. Set aside. Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and mix well. Gradually add the pea mixture to the flour mixture. Simmer, stirring all the time. Add salt. Garnish with chopped ham. Serves 4-6.
