2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 c. raisins, chopped or ground
1 c. apples, chopped
1/2 c. nut meats
1 rounded tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. or less cloves

Mix and pour into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

BURNT SUGAR ICING:

6 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. hot water or enough to make easy to spread

Melt butter to golden brown. Add sugar and vanilla. Add hot water. Mix until smooth.
