KATHEE'S ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD | |
2 (3 oz.) pkg. Oriental noodles with chicken flavor 4 c. shredded cabbage (med. head) 4 green onions, sliced 2 tbsp. sesame seeds (even more) 3 tbsp. red vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. sesame oil 1/2 tsp. white pepper 1/2 c. slivered almonds Crush noodles slightly; place in colander. Pour boiling water over noodles to soften slightly. Drain well. In a large mixing bowl, combine noodles, cabbage, onions, and sesame seeds. For dressing, in a screw top jar, combine seasoning packet from noodles, vinegar, sugar, oil, and pepper; shake to mix well. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss. Makes 6 to 8 side dish servings. |
