LAYERED OVERNIGHT SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 bunch broccoli or cauliflower or both
1 can peas, drained (sm. ones)
1 can water chestnuts, drained & chopped
1 onion, diced
1 lb. bacon, cooked & crumbled
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mayonnaise
1 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese

Layer ingredients. Chill overnight. Toss before serving.

If desired - add 1 cup chopped celery and 1 cup chopped green peppers.
