MINIATURE BISCUITS SUPREME | |
1 c. flour, sifted 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. granulated sugar 1/4 c. shortening, chilled 1/3 c. evaporated milk Preheat oven to 425°F. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once and stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Place dough on lightly floured surface, gently patting out dough to 3/4-inch thick. Use either small biscuit cutter or a knife which works quite well in getting the desired size and a unique shape. They can be cut into miniature diamonds or any shape desired. Bake at 425°F for 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. Yield: 8 to 10 tiny biscuits. |
