HARD CANDY 
3 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. white Karo
1 c. water

Combine in saucepan and stir until it boils. Boil to 300 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add food coloring, then 1 teaspoon of flavoring oil. Mix thoroughly.

Pour into a cookie pan coated with 10X sugar. Let set until it begins to set and can be handled. Lift, cut into strips, then place pieces onto 10X sugar covered wax paper. Boiling time 15 minutes, approximately cooling time 5+ minutes. See preceding instructions.
