FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
4 lg. onions
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 eggs, well beaten
2 tbsp. butter

Slice onions and separate into rings. Soak rings in the milk for 2 hours, drain well and combine milk with remaining ingredients to make a batter. Dip onion rings into batter and drop in hot deep fat. Brown on each side, then drain on paper towels. Salt and serve hot.
