DUTCH APPLE CAKE | |
1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 stick butter 1 egg, mixed with 1 tbsp. milk 10 to 12 med. apples 1 1/2 tbsp. flour 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 stick butter Mix first 5 ingredients like pie crust and pat into a 10-inch pie pan with fingers. Peel, core, and slice apples very thin into pie crust. Mix 1 1/2 tablespoons of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon together and pour over apples. Dot with butter and bake for 20 to 30 minutes in a 375 degree oven, or until apples are soft and crust is browned. Serves 8. |
