GRANDMA'S MINT COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream well the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Blend in eggs, water and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Chill dough at least 2 hours. One package chocolate mint wafer candy without filling.

Enclose each mint wafer in about 1 tablespoon dough. Top each with 1/2 walnut if desired. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 375 degree oven. It is important that you use solid mint wafer chocolates.
