GERMAN MEATBALLS 
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 lb. ground veal
1/4 lb. ground pork

Or use 1 pound ground beef.

1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) bouillon or consomme
Flour
1 c. water
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. capers or 1/2 lemon

Combine the meat, onion, bread crumbs, salt and egg. Shape into 1 inch balls.

Roll the balls in flour. Heat bouillon and water in saucepan. Add the meatballs. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Mix 2 tablespoons flour with 1/4 cup cold water. Add to the meat broth and cook, stirring until thickened. Add capers.
