LASAGNE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork or Italian sausage
1 onion
1 sm. can tomato sauce
12 wide lasagne noodles
2 1/2 lb. can whole tomatoes and juice
1 can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
3/4 lb. ricotta or cottage cheese
1 can Parmesan cheese
1 lb. mozzarella cheese

Brown meat with onion. Pour off grease. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and whole tomatoes, along with oregano, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour. Place three cooked lasagne noodles in bottom of large baking dish. Spread sauce over to cover, then spread ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Layer more noodles, more sauce, and the 3 cheeses. When all ingredients have been layered, add tomato juice to liquify, if desired. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve hot.
