EASY MACARONI AND CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
8 oz. Macaroni noodles 16 oz. Extra sharp cheese 8 oz. sour cream 20 RITZ crackers Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. In a medium sauce pan, bring water to a boil for your noodles. Once water is boiling, add your macaroni noodles. Do not fully cook noodles; drain water from noodles while still under-cooked (al denté). Set noodles aside. Cube or shred cheese and set aside. In a large casserole dish, layer noodles and cheese, with the top layer ending in cheese. Scoop small spoonfuls of sour cream, dropping them in two equal rows down the top of dish. Finally crush the Ritz crackers (type of cracker matters), and sprinkle over top of entire dish. Place dish on middle rack of oven, and bake for 30-45 minutes (or until sour cream is no longer it original texture). When finished baking, allow 5 to 10 minutes to cool.
