CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL CAKE 
1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. chocolate chips

Pour water over oatmeal and let stand 10 minutes. Combine with other ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes in greased 9x13 or jelly roll pan (for bars).

ICING:

1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 c. chocolate chips

Melt butter; add milk and heat until warm. Stir in remaining ingredients. Frost while still warm.
