FLOUR TORTILLAS | |
4 c. flour 3/4 c. Crisco 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 to 1 1/2 c. water, cold Mix dry ingredients first. Using a fork, cut the Crisco into the flour, salt and baking powder until well blended. Add the water a little at a time, until the mix is the consistency of pie dough. Roll all of it into balls the size of golf balls, then flatten into plate size circles (use the plate to make well formed circles if necessary). Place one at a time on hot, greased griddle, turn when bubbles form in center. Makes 3 dozen. |
