CHICKEN AND RICE 
1 whole chicken (2 1/2 lb.) broiler fryer
2 c. rice
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can of water
1 sm. onion, chopped

Cut chicken into pieces, cutting breast pieces in half. Set aside. Place rice in a baking dish. Add soup, water and onion. Mix well making sure all rice is covered with mixture. Place chicken on top. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, checking to make sure rice mixture doesn't dry out (if so add a little water). If browner chicken desired, remove foil last 15 minutes.
