APRICOT BREAD 
1 c. dried apricots
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 egg
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. water
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cut apricots into 1/2 to 1/4-inch pieces. Mix sugar, butter, and egg. Add orange juice and water and then all other ingredients. Blend in apricots and nuts if desired.

Put into greased and floured bread pans. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
