1 stick butter
1 c. oatmeal, quick
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large pan, combine butter, oatmeal, and boiling water. Mix well; let sit until cooled. Add sugar and eggs to mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add to above.

Grease 9 x 13 pan (do not flour). Spread in mixture. Sprinkle brown sugar and chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
