EASY KOLACHY | |
2 c. flour 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 2 sticks butter (not reduced calorie) 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling Confectioners' sugar 1. Let butter and cream cheese stand until soft. Mix with flour and divide into 2 balls, which are refrigerated for at least 8 hours. 2. On floured board, roll out the dough into 1/4" thickness. Cut into 2" diameter or desired size. Indent center with thumb or spoon and fill with cherry pie filling. (If preferred, a favorite fruit jam can be used.) Approximately 1/2 teaspoon. 3. Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for about 12 minutes, do not over cook. When done, lay out on ungreased cookie sheet, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Sprinkle with a little more powdered sugar and let cool. 4. When ready to serve, dust again with confectioners' sugar. Approximately 48 cookies. |
