EASY POTATO ROLLS | |
3/4 c. warm water 1 pkg. yeast Pinch of salt 1 c. mashed potatoes 2/3 c. shortening 2/3 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. milk, scalded and cooled 6 or 7 c. plain flour Combine water, yeast and sugar and let stand 10 minutes; set aside. Mix potatoes, shortening, 2/3 cup sugar and salt. Add yeast mixture. Alternately add scalded and cooled milk with flour. Mix well. Refrigerate overnight. Shape as desired and let rise for 3 hours. Bake at 400 degrees. |
