NO KNEAD BREAD | |
9 c. flour, sifted 1 tbsp. salt 1/4 c. sugar 4 c. lukewarm water 3 pkgs. dry yeast 3 lg. tbsp. shortening, melted Mix dry ingredients and add water mixed with yeast and melted shortening. Let rise to double in bulk, about 2 hours. Turn out on floured surface and cut into 4 parts. Put in 4 greased bread pans. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 our. Butter the tops while still warm. Makes 4 loaves. |
