ICE CREAM 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
4 eggs
2 qt. milk

Mix sugar and flour in double boiler or heavy saucepan. Beat in the eggs. Gradually add 2 cups of milk blending well. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly just until it starts to bubble. Remove from heat and put through strainer into ice cream freezer can. Add 1 recipe of sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 cup cream and the rest of the milk. Freeze according to ice cream freezer directions.

VARIATIONS:

ruit: Use 3 cups pureed fruit in place of 3 cups milk.

hocolate: Add 2 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate to custard while cooking.

lmond Joy: Add 1 cup chopped milk chocolate chips, 1 cup slivered almonds and 1 cup fine coconut in place of 2 or 3 cups milk.

int Chocolate Chip:

Omit vanilla
6 ounce semi-sweet baking bar, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
1/2 tsp. or more of green food coloring

hocolate Almond Cherry:

1 1/2 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
1 c. chopped slivered almonds

dd to custard while cooking:

4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
2 squares unsweetened chocolate

Use about 2 cups less of milk.
