BUTTERLESS - EGGLESS - MILKLESS CAKE | |
1 box mincemeat 1 c. brown sugar 1 1/4 c. water 1/3 c. butter 5 tbsp. baking powder 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt Boil mincemeat, water, sugar, shortening and salt together in saucepan for 5 minutes. Let stand until cool. Add sifted flour and baking powder. Mix well. Bake in loaf pan about 45 minutes. Release from pan by turning upside down. It will drop out. Cool to serve. Very good! |
