APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon, baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins & mixed nuts
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter. Add sugar, cream until light. Add egg, beat well. Toss 1 1/2 cups flour with cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add flour and applesauce to butter mixture, alternately, beating to combine after each addition, beginning and ending with flour. Toss nuts and raisins with 2 tablespoons flour, fold into batter. Bake in a greased and floured 9-inch tube pan in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 1 hour.
