ANGEL CRISP COOKIES 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together, form into balls size of walnuts. Dip top half into water, then in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down center with fingers. Bake at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
