ANGEL COOKIES 
1 stick butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 c. nuts
2 c. Rice Krispies
Angel flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add dates. Boil 3 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add nuts and Rice Krispies, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Drop by teaspoon into angel flake coconut and roll into balls-or-pat into pan lined with the coconut and cut into squares, or roll and slice.
