ANGEL CRISPS COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. shortening (part butter)
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Roll into balls. Dip into water, then into sugar. Press down in center with thumb. Bake at 425 degrees, 8 to 10 minutes.
