RAISIN OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. old fashioned oatmeal (not instant)
1 c. raisins

Cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and oatmeal; mix well. Stir in raisins. Drop by tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake above oven center at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes about 36 cookies.
