BARLEY SKILLET SUPPER 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
3/4 c. pearl barley
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 tsp. Worcesterhsire sauce
1/2 tsp. marjoram
Salt and pepper to taste

In heavy skillet, brown hamburger with onion, celery, green pepper, and garlic; drain. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer; cover and cook about 1 hour or until barley is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Adjust seasonings to taste. Yields 6 servings.
