GINGERSNAPS 
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat in eggs and add molasses and sifted dry ingredients. Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip in sugar.

Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. The kid's favorite.
