FRUIT FILLED BARS 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
2 cans pie filling

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, add dry ingredients and mix well. Take mixture and spread in bottom of greased cookie pan. Reserve 1/4 of dough for topping. Spoon pie filling on top of dough and smooth over. Take teaspoon of remaining dough and drop off onto filling. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar after its cooled.
