COCONUT NESTS 
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. light corn syrup
1 c. Half and Half cream
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flaked coconut
Food coloring
Tiny jelly beans

In medium saucepan mix sugar, corn syrup, Half and Half and salt. Bring to boil over medium heat. Continue cooking until temperature on candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees (soft ball stage). Remove from heat and let stand until temperature reaches 110. Add vanilla and coconut. Work green food coloring into candy until evenly colored.

Beat candy until mixture is thick and loses its gloss. Drop by heaping tablespoonsful on wax paper lined cookie sheet and shape into nests. Fill nests with jelly beans. Makes 15 large or 18-20 medium nests using smaller amounts.

Note: Nests may be made into several pastel shades using different colors of food tints. Divide mixture into several bowls and then add food coloring. Work as above.
