HATTIE HICKS CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 med. head cabbage
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sweet milk
1 green pepper, chopped
2 c. cornbread crumbs, any cornbread recipe
Lg. jar Cheez Whiz

Cook cabbage in 1 cup water with 1/2 teaspoon salt. When tender, remove from heat and drain well. Make white sauce with flour, milk, butter, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook over low heat until thick. Remove from heat and add Cheez Whiz. Add peppers and pour over cabbage. Grease casserole dish with 3 tablespoons butter. Put 1 cup cornbread crumbs in casserole dish. Add cabbage mixture. Top with 1 cup cornbread crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
