LEMON SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter (soft)
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
1 can pie filling (lemon) or cherry or blueberry flavor

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and flour; mix well. Grease and flour 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Spread 2/3 of batter in bottom of pan. Fill with can of lemon pie filling on top of batter. With remaining batter, drop by teaspoons over the top of the filling. Bake 35-45 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cut into squares when cool.
