CRAZY CAKE 
1 1/2 c. enriched flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cool water
6 tbsp. liquid shortening
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients into an 8 inch square pan. Make 3 holes in mixture. In first hole put shortening; in second hole, put vinegar; and in third, vanilla. Pour water over all and mix with fork. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool and frost. Can be doubled for 9 x 13 inch cake. This cake is very moist and stays moist for quite a while.
