RHUBARB CAKE | |
1 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 2 egg yolks (beaten) 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix and press crust into 9 x 13 cake pan. 4 c. rhubarb, cut up 2 egg yolks (beaten) 2 c. sugar 5 tbsp. flour Mix and pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread on topping and brown. TOPPING: 4 egg whites, beaten stiff 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Mix all together. |
