CHEESE MACARONI MEDLEY | |
1 c. elbow macaroni 1 lb. ground beef 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. milk 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Cook macaroni and drain well. Cook ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper. Add onion. Melt butter in a 2 quart pan with 1 3/4 cups milk and salt. Make thickening with flour and 1/4 cup milk. Add to butter and milk and heat stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 1/2 cups cheese. Combine meat with sauce. Add macaroni. Put in casserole dish. Top with cheese. Bake 350 degrees, 30 minutes. Serves 8. |
