BEEFY MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. uncooked macaroni, cooked
2 c. cubed American processed cheese

Brown ground beef until it loses redness. Add onion and saute until tender; drain fat. Blend in tomato sauce, water, oregano, and salt. Simmer 10 minutes. In a 2 1/2 quart casserole layer half the macaroni, half meat sauce, and half the cheese. Repeat layers. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Or microwave 10 minutes on medium rotating half way.

May substitute your favorite spaghetti sauce (about 3 cups) for sauce, oregano, and salt.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
