MEXICAN ANISE COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. powdered sugar

With mixer beat butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Beat in flour and anise seeds. Refrigerate 60 minutes. Roll flat cut with cookie cuter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. Roll in cinnamon and powdered sugar after baking.
